Canada Day 4, Rain

Well today didn't turn out as planned due to rain but we still had a great time.

We had painting lessons with Grandpa using acrylic paints and had a lot of fun. We'll finish our works of art tomorrow. We also visited a couple of art galleries and spent time in the library and swimming.

Mountain bike trials have been going on all over Whistler this week . These guys and girls special bikes without seats to do acrobatics. They range in age from 10 to 17 years old. One of the guys in these photos is a two times world champion and has competed in Canada, the USA, Europe and Japan. He is headed back to Japan in the next couple of weeks to defend one of his titles. They were amazing to watch.

NEVER volunteer to help a trick performer do his act. This brave boy got to lay there while the biker jumped his bike back and forth over him. He got a big applause and a hat for his reward.

As you can see this is being posted Wednesday morning. The weather report said it was supposed to been sunny and nice but it's actually very cloudy. Right now we can't see the top of the mountains. We hope it clears up so we can take the gondola to the top. Stay tuned.
