The Oregon Garden & Resort

As I mentioned earlier Cheryl and I, along with Karen and Bob and Jack and Marilyn met for a night at the new resort at the Oregon Garden. This is the same Oregon Garden where Jake and Bethany got married a few years ago. It's just outside of Silverton. The garden has been expanded and has partnered with a private resort company to open a new resort on property just behind the garden. The resort can be seen in the photo above and was taken from inside the garden.

We all got there about 3 o'clock along with a whole lot of other people. The weather was overcast and about 60. Perfect for walking in the garden. Before dinner they all decided to teach me how to play cribbage. It had been years since I'd played and I seemed to pick it up pretty fast as the "guys" team won. Maybe in spite of me.
Dinner and breakfast were included in our special package deal so we ate in their restaurant. We all agreed it was excellent. After dinner we had a drink in the bar and some of us even danced a little. All and all it was a fun and relaxing evening.

We left after breakfast this morning and was back home before noon. As always we had a great and relaxing time. If you get a chance to visit the Oregon Garden it is well worth the trip. Right now all the trees are showing their fall colors and they look splendid.

I've heard about the Oregon Garden, but we've not been there. Maybe someday on a trip to Oregon, we should visit! Looks like a peaceful place to relax. Nice pictures, Mike.
