The Palm Springs Follies

Today I'm catching up on my blog. We've had a great time so far. This and the three following posts will catch us up to today.

Last night Bob, Karen, Cheryl and I went to the Palm Springs Follies. This is a professional show in its 18th year. No photos are allowed due to copyright issues etc. so I've placed a link to their website above (just click on the blog title). We had a great time. Lots of singing, dancing and comedy. The most interesting thing is that the youngest member of the follies is 55 years old. The follies also feature the worlds oldest living showgirl. She's 85 and is more active than most 40 year olds. She's been a professional dancer since she was 10 years old. All of the cast members are professionals who had stage, TV, and screen careers before joining the follies. If you come to Palm Springs, this is a must see show. They perform 9 shows a week and the show last for 3 hours. WOW!

Tonight is New Years Eve and we'll be celebrating with the rest of the family who came to Indio also.

How about those Ducks? It appears the Beavers were able to win also. Looks like a banner week for the Oregon teams.

Happy New Year, Mike & Cheryl! I went to the Follies webiste and also their Facebook page. Those folks know how to stay young! The Ducks were great in the second half! The Beavers were boring offensively, but they won. Patti
