Vacation Day 2

Our original idea had been to get up Saturday morning and drive on over to Park City, Utah. Instead we decided to take a look at Shoshone Falls. Its just a couple of miles from Twin Falls and we thought it might be fun to see. It is a truly spectacular place. First off it's huge; over 50 feet taller than Niagara Falls. The Snake River Canyon is beautiful. We ended up spending several hours hiking around and shooting pictures. The bottom photo is the falls, while the top photo is the canyon below the falls. The visitor's area is easily accessible and looks right out over the falls as well as down the canyon.

This nice fat Rock Chuck sat about 15 feet out on a ledge overlooking the canyon and allowed use to photograph him all we wanted. He did eventually move into the shade as it was over 90 degrees at about 10:00 am.
