San Antonio

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted. We've been pretty busy but we've also traveled a little for fun. I'll try to get some of those picture up later.

Right now Cheryl and I are in San Antonio, Texas. We arrived last night and are here so Cheryl can attend a 4 day conference. We added a few days and I decided to come along. We've wanted to visit here for years. Today we wandered around the River Walk and tried to get our bearings. We're staying at the Hilton right on the San Antonio river. The Alamo is about 6 blocks from us and we hope to tour it tomorrow. I took this photo while we were walking by it.

San Antonio is every bit as beautiful as people had said it would be. It has a tropical feel. The weather is in the 80's, a little humid and a nice breeze. There are lots of flowers in bloom and we saw baby ducks in the river. Seems more like spring than fall. There must be at least 50 restaurants along the part of the river walk that we've seen. As you might expect, we've sampled a little.
