Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM SCOTT LAND
Here's hoping that everyone has a Merry Christmas full of fun, laughter and family.

As you can see from the picture the snow is starting to melt a little. We're have a few snow flurries this morning but for the most part our storm is over. When all the snow was added up we officially had 16 inches at the airport. This beat the 1968 record. I think the next record was the big storm in 1950. I also think this was the longest storm on record here.

We are scheduled to fly out to Palm Springs tomorrow. It appears the airlines are back flying so as long we can make it to the airport we should be able to fly off to see the sun.

The Story of Esther

A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving Alex acquired a hairless rat who was sick. He named her Esther and nursed her back to health. She now happily lives in Alex bedroom in a rat tank. During the storm Alex was gone for about 4 days. He had left plenty of food and water but was still concerned about her. When he got home and started to clean her cage he found 2 baby rats. It was pretty surprising considering how young she is. He later found a third baby. So he's now the proud keeper of a rat farm. She doesn't seem a bit concerned about Alex holding them. He says one is already proving himself to be an adventurer. We decided this was her Christmas present to him.
