Happy 4th of July!
We arrived home last night after a 13 hour drive (with stops). Our original intent was to spend the night somewhere around LaGrande, Oregon but we decided just to keep driving. Everything was in great shape thanks to Alex, who came over regularly to water and collect the mail.
Alex and 2 friends have rented a large old house in North Portland. While he's already sleeping there; the plan is to rent a truck tomorrow and for all of them to move in this weekend and get settled. I'll see if I can get a photo and post it.
We got a call from Milano, Italy this morning. It seems that Bob and Karen are having a great time.
