More Snow Photos

By the time yesterday's snow had finished we had about 10 inches of new accumulation.
It's still in the low 20s and there doesn't seem to be any end in site very soon.
The trees are all iced over and the prediction for freezing rain seems to be starting outside now, although it looks like snow to me. I'd be very surprised if any of the colleges are open tomorrow. Several have already announced closures. Even the Malls are mostly closed. Most of the MAX (light rail) lines are closed due to frozen switches. Some of the buses are still running but there really isn't any schedules. Most of the local area is requiring chains and a lot of the roads are closed. They are begging people to stay home and off the streets.

The last we heard Alex was still stuck at work. He works in downtown Portland and rides the MAX to work when he can't ride his bike. He's often asked to take extra shifts so he's usually pretty happy to be able to.

Since I started writing this post it has gone from a light sleet to heavily snowing again. The weather man just announce that he's been reporting the weather for the same station for 20 years and this is the longest stretch of snow he remembers in that time.

The girls have gone from a little jealous to totally disgusted! Not even a school delay here.

Hi Mike- Whoops messed up on my last comment. We are feeling you here in Idaho. Lots of snow here too, with no end in sight, it is supposed to snow through Christmas. Rick says hello, and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
